I created this tour because I got tired of watching people miss the real North End.
Hi there, I’m Bobby Agrippino, owner and guide of the North End Boston Food Tour. For decades, I’ve watched travelers come through Little Italy thinking they’d seen everything, when in reality they’d barely scratched the surface.
The heart of this neighborhood isn’t in guidebooks. It’s in the small bakeries that have shaped family traditions, the shopkeepers who know everyone by name, the recipes passed down for generations, and the stories that tie all of us together.
I started this tour to share that side of the North End. Not the postcard version, but the real community, a place rooted in history, pride, and some of the best food you’ll ever taste.
This tour is my way of sharing what I love most about where I come from.
This isn’t a big bus tour or a corporate operation. It’s personal.
Every tour is led by me! Someone who knows the North End inside and out, the shortcuts, the stories, the community connections that don’t show up in any guidebook. I keep groups small so you can actually engage, ask questions, and connect with the people and places we visit.
I don’t take you to tourist traps. I take you to the spots locals actually go, the bakeries, the markets, the family-owned restaurants that have been doing things the same way for generations.
You’re not just a customer. You’re a guest in our neighborhood.
That’s why I started the North End Boston Food Tour.
I wanted to give people a way to experience this neighborhood the way it deserves to be experienced. Not as a tourist attraction, but as a living, breathing community with over a century of history, tradition, and some of the best food you’ll ever taste.
This tour is my way of sharing what I love most about where I come from.
When you join the tour, you’re not just sampling great food, you’re getting a full introduction to the world of Boston’s Little Italy. Here’s what you can expect:
Learn how generations of Italian immigrants helped shape this neighborhood and preserved traditions that still influence daily life.
Taste fresh pasta, iconic pastries, the best Neapolitan pizza in the city, and neighborhood favorites you’d never stumble upon on your own.
Get a sense of the community spirit, celebrations, and way of life that make the North End unlike any other neighborhood in Boston.
Where locals actually eat, hidden gems worth visiting, the best times to explore, cash-only spots, and how to enjoy Little Italy like someone who lives here.
You’ll leave both full and with a deeper understanding of why this place means so much to so many.
We’ve been honored with the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award every year since 2020. But what matters most to us is hearing guests say, “I finally feel like I understand this neighborhood.”
That’s the goal. That’s why I do this.

EXCELLENT Based on 890 reviews Posted on Skyler SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Cant recommend this tour enough! Bobby is extremely knowledgeable and brings you to some great spots in the north end! We learned so much about the history of the neighborhood and had the most amazing food. Bobby is funny and makes the tour extremely fun. Great deal considering the amount of food/spots hit and a perfect way to spend an afternoon!Posted on charlie nevejansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bobby was an incredible tour guide. He is authentic, genuine, well informed, and each restaurant he brought us too was delicious. I was doing this as part of a company event and live locally, so I was skeptical as to how much I’d get from the experience. However, having grown up in “the neighborhood”, Bobby’s historical and culinary knowledge is unmatched. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a food tour in Massachusetts.Posted on J CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Knowledgeable, funny and caring. Would take the same tour again. Definitely recommend the tour to family, friends and anyone wanting to take a food tour.Posted on Kelly AzeraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bobby did an amazing job teaching us all about the North End. He had so much knowledge of the area and made you feel like you were part of the neighborhood. His stories from childhood helped enhance the experience. We were able to try all sorts of foods and drinks. The balsamic vinegar and limoncello were my two favorites which I purchased and took home to RI to enjoy. Highly recommend this experience if you’re a foodie.Posted on Nancy HansonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bobby gave us an in depth tour of Bostons North End! The fact he is originally from the North end and shared his stories made it that more enjoyable !! The food was fabulous, wine delicious and desserts were yummy! I Highly recommend this tour!Posted on Arthur P AndradeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a great time with Bobby who brought us to the out of the way eateries with traditional Italian food. He added some of his favorite food and drinks and we went home with treats.Posted on Dani FurmenekTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the absolute best time on the North End Boston Food Tour with Bobby! Each tasting was amazing (the pizza and cannoli were standouts), but what really makes the experience special is Bobby himself. As a lifelong North End resident, he brings the neighborhood to life with warmth, humor, and a genuine love for his community. If you’re looking to experience Boston’s history, culture, and incredible food all in one afternoon, this tour is a must.Posted on Natalie RoussinaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Bobby is incredible! A local who grew up in the neighborhood and makes the tour very personable with his memories. As we were even doing the tour people recognized him from around the neighborhood. Come hungry! A steal of a value for all the food and drinks you get. Highly recommend to any tourist or even any local, as someone who grew up in the suburbs myself!Posted on Bruce & Stephanie ComicsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Incredible North End Experience with Bobby Agrippino! The North End Boston food tour with Bobby Agrippino was absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish, Bobby brought the neighborhood to life with his deep knowledge, warmth, and hilarious storytelling. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and has a real passion for the history, culture, and of course—the food of the North End. Every stop was a hit: authentic Italian pastries, delicious pasta, mouthwatering pizza, and more. Each bite came with a story, and Bobby tied it all together perfectly with local insights and fun anecdotes that made us feel like part of the community. Bobby has a fantastic personality—charismatic, engaging, and incredibly welcoming. It felt less like a guided tour and more like exploring Boston with a good friend who happens to know everyone in the neighborhood. If you’re visiting Boston (or even if you live here), do not miss this tour. It’s the perfect blend of food, history, and fun. Bobby’s passion and humor make it a truly unforgettable experience!Posted on Elizabeth WebsterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hands down -and I mean it- my favorite thing we did in our 4 day trip to Boston. This is not a 'tasting' tour, it is a one of a kind food experience, one you will tell your friends about for years to come. When Bobby says come hungry, he means it! Authentic, local, knowledgeable, hilarious, no-nonsense- Bobby is everything you want in a tour guide. I can't stop thinking about the pizza and the special balsamic- or the cheese, or the canoli, or about all the other food surprises I won't spoil for you. Book this tour- NOW.
